Between Two Worlds Cd Review

Everyone that knows us, will agree that we are huge Gospel Rap fans. Especially the 116 Clique. We pack up the family and head to every concert, and of course purchase every Cd. So when Trip Lee released his latest project, we just had to have it!
Reach Records has done it again! Trip Lee's third Album, Between Two Worlds, is a beautiful work of art. No Worries has an infectious beat that you and your kids will love. CMR artist J.R. gets busy on the track Snitch which tells us that it's O.K. to confess the sin in our lives. Many songs have a blend of strings that are simply heavenly. My favorite song on the project is My Lord (Bonus track). Produced by D.J. Official, is has that East Coast/ Cross Movement feel to it that I love. And I can't forget The Invasion (Hero), that is blazing the charts. Be sure to check out the video below.

Trip Lee speaks from the heart about his love for his new wife. He also shares the pain of having lost his father and his desire to see the world saved no matter the cost. We've had this CD on repeat for weeks now and there are no signs of stopping. Get this CD today!

Book Review: Inspirational Zingers Jumble

Here's my latest review:

My son and I have been busy this summer. I've been working hard to keep his mind stimulated with something other than video games. We've taken many trips to the library and to my surprise, he has enjoyed reading like never before!
Last month, I had the opportunity to review an activity book called "Inspirational Zingers Jumble" by Tyndale. My son does these types of word finds at school, so I thought it would be a fun way to pass the time this summer.
Inspirational Zingers Jumble is a book of all sorts of Jumbles (word finds). Jumbles are a kind of word scramble that takes bible scriptures and scrambles them. You then arrange the letters that are circled to form a word that completes the Zinger.
Inside, you'll find over 100 Jumbles. The categories are regular Jumbles, Double Jumbles, Mystery Person Jumbles, Word Search Jumbles, Super Jumbles, and Criss-Cross Jumbles.
If your family is really into bible trivia and puzzles, this would be a good activity for a road trip or a family game night. Some of the puzzles seemed a bit difficult for my little guy. In fact, I was stumped a few times myself! So make sure you have older kids or adults to help out.

It's About Time I Post Something!

Wow, it's been almost a year since I wrote on this blog! So much has happened!
We stopped selling our product at Sanctuary Covenant Church for good, in December. It just seemed as though the need for Cd's has diminished. Most people buy their music online or from Itunes. Hard to compete with that!
I've been working hard on my other blog "The Coupon Sista". All the while, I've been feeling this urge to want to discuss the happenings in the Gospel industry. It's been a desire of mine not to give up complete on LLBM (Living Light for short), but to find a new way to share my burning desire for this music that uplifts my soul. So I've decided to use this blog as a way to share the latest info on the Christian community as well as reviews of books and of course, Gospel music. I'm looking forward to sharing my thoughts and experiences with you all. So join me, it will be "outtadisworld"!

Mom's Bible Review

Here's another book review that I did for The Coupon Sista blog that I wanted to share here.

I love reading, especially the Bible. I'm a busy mom and am always looking for inspiration to get me through the day.
That's why I like the "Mom's Bible, God's Wisdom for mothers". It has short, sweet notes throughout it by Bobbie Wolgemuth. The New Century Version is a bit different from what I'm use to, (I'm a King James or NIV kind of girl), but it's very easy to read and understand.
The look of this hardcover bible is both classy and elegant with paisley printed pages.
I found that this Bible's features were the best part. With many different topics to choose from, I could find a note to suit me for the day. The part I most enjoy is the "Walking In" topics, which help bring balance to my everyday life.

Bibleman DVD Review

This is a review that I did for "The Coupon Sista" blog that I wanted to share here.

It's been a while since I've seen BibleMan. My son has grown much older now, but my youngest, is still in his super-hero stage. So when I had the chance to review the latest from BibleMan, I figured my son would want to watch it.
Combating The Commandant of Confusion is a live performance on DVD, set in the Bible Adventure Training Academy. The main message teaches kids to take on the full armor of God, found in Ephesians 6:11. BibleMan fights familiar villains, Chaos and Confusion, by combating them with passages from the word.
This is a good video for little ones on teaching them basic bible lessons and scripture. Though it wasn't as entertaining as I would have liked it to be, the message can be appreciated by any family. Smaller children will enjoy this DVD most.
